MSA Consultants coach our clients through the SafeMeasures Process. The
consultants provide advice and guidance to schools
in all aspects of the process and on-going support for sustaining school
climate improvement projects. Our consultants come from a variety of
backgrounds and contribute valuable knowledge and experience to our
clients.

Dr. Larry Taylor
Dr Larry Taylor received his BA from Cornell University and his Ph.D.
from Rutgers University. He is a professor of psychology at New England
College where he has held various administrative positions, including
Dean of the British Campus in Arundel, England, and Vice President for
Academic Affairs. Recently, he helped to create the mentor program at
the College; this innovative program provides extensive additional
one-on-one support to students who enter the college at-risk Larry is a
consultant with Main Street Academix. He currently is working in many
states (including Texas, Tennessee, New Hampshire, Maine and New York)
to promote school environments that are conducive to student learning
and empowerment.

Christopher E. Overtree,
PhD
Dr. Overtree is the Director of the Psychological
Services Center (PSC) and the Associate Director of Clinical Training
for the Clinical Psychology Program at the University of
Massachusetts-Amherst, an APA accredited program since 1957. As a
clinician and supervisor, he works with all ages, but specializes in
children, adolescents, and individuals with anxiety or depressive
symptoms. Dr. Overtree is an integrative therapist with a specialty in
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. Dr. Overtree is a graduate of Princeton
University (BA) and the University of Massachusetts-Amherst ( M.S. &
Ph.D.). He completed a pre-doctoral internship in Community Mental
Health Counseling at Dartmouth Medical School. He has been working with
Main Street Academix since 2004.

Bryan Partridge
Bryan Partridge has been working with Main Street Academix for four
years. He received his BA from The College of Wooster in Wooster, OH,
his MA in Creative Writing from Dartmouth College, and is currently
working on a PhD in the Humanities from Union University. His past
experience includes working as a one-on-one mentor for a child with
Asperger's Syndrome, working as a college mentor at New England College,
and currently, teaching College Writing at New England College. Bryan
also serves as the assistant director at Camp Lanakila, an educational
organization focused on fostering personal growth, self-reliance,
self-confidence, cooperation and a sense of community.

Rick Gordon
Rick Gordon was on the founding board and was founding Director of the
Compass School, a charter school in Vermont now in its tenth year and
boasting a 100% graduation rate with well over 90% of our students going
on to college. He studied Political Science at Stanford University, and
received his PhD. in Social and Multicultural Foundations of Education
from University of Colorado. He has taught pre-service and in-service
teachers, directed The Critical Skills Program working to improve public
schools throughout New England, New York, and overseas, and worked
extensively with schools and higher education on Service Learning
(including editing the well received
Problem Based Service Learning
Fieldguide: Making a Difference in Higher Education). Rick has
long experience in Outdoor Education with Outward Bound and Windsor
Mountain International and traveled around the world for a year with his
wife and kids in 2005. He lives in Vermont, adventuring with his family
on skis and bikes and foot both near and far in the US and around the
globe.
