Dr. William Preble 

Dr. William Preble
Dr. William Preble is a Professor of Education at New England College and President of Main Street Academix (MSA). He holds a Doctoral degree in Education from the University of Maine. Dr. Preble began his career in education as a middle school social studies teacher. He later became an elementary school principal and was director of the University of Maine’s Aspirations Project designed to promote critical thinking, participation, leadership, post-secondary attendance, and life chances for Maine students with a focus on student leadership. At New England College, he teaches courses in educational psychology, evaluation and assessment, and democratic school leadership. His research is in the areas of assessment, school violence, and their influence on school climate. With Main Street Academix, Dr. Preble has worked in hundreds of schools across the country to improve school climate and encourage respectful teaching and learning.

   
Katherine Knowles 

Katherine Knowles
Katherine Knowles is the Vice President of Main Street Academix. She received her BA from Trinity College in Hartford, CT and her MA in Education from King’s College London. Her past experience includes teaching high school and middle school history and serving as Head of Education for Sylvan Learning Center’s pilot center in the United Kingdom. Katherine also served on the management team at Aloha Camp for Girls, an educational organization focused on fostering personal growth, self-reliance, self-confidence, cooperation and a sense of community.

   
Rachael Frost

Rachael Frost
Rachael has been the project manager at Main Street Academix since 2007. She received her BA in Psychology from New England College where she was heavily involved in leadership development as well as the Adventure Bound Program. Her past experience has included, acting as the assistant director of Acorn Soupe’s summer camp in Napa, California, as well as working at the after school program at White Birch Community Center. Rachael is also a member of the Henniker Rescue Squad and plans to pursue a Masters Degree in the near future.
