Webinars
MSA/RSA webinars are an exciting vehicle for discovering the
latest trends in school climate improvement work and respectful schools
research. These online conferences allow you to share challenges and successes
with other teachers and administrators. Presenters at these webinars include
university professors, superintendents, principals, teachers, researchers and
students who have done this work and have valuable insight into what works and
how to overcome obstacles.
Individuals or teams from schools across the country can join a webinar to
listen to presentations, participate in activities and discussions and ask
questions. All you need is a phone and a computer with access to the internet.
E-workshops & Courses
Beginning in 2008-2009, Main Street Academix and the Respectful
Schools Alliance will offer e-workshops and online courses for teachers and
administrators wishing to investigate topics such as respectful teaching
practices, respectful classroom management techniques, and student leadership
initiatives. Continuing Education Credits and Graduate Credit from New England
College are available for certain workshops and courses.
Summer Institutes
Each summer MSA presents a series of online and regional summer institutes.
Summer institutes utilize a series of presentations interspersed with activities
and discussion groups to help individuals and school teams to investigate a
variety of issues related to school climate, safety and respect. These
institutes offer an opportunity to learn from experts in the field, share ideas
and plan for your schools’ improvement efforts.
Continuing Education Credits &
Graduate Credit
Continuing Education Credits are available for many of MSA webinars, workshops
and courses. MSA works in partnership with New England College’s Office of
Continuing and Graduate Education to offer Graduate Credit for participants in
our online courses and summer institutes.
